Biography
As a songwriter building recognition in the Vancouver music scene, A&S uses his trusty looper to blend his guitar, piano, and voice. With influences such as John Legend, Tallest Man on Earth, Ben Harper, Jack White, and Hawksley Workman, A&S intermingles genres as varied as folk, rock, rap, jazz, and spoken word.
After having had his debut EP on college radio across the nation, A&S is preparing to take the next step on his quest to deliver life-changing music. That means that 50% of all proceeds from everything he sells, from tickets to CDs, go to select non-profit organizations.
“Obviously a performer. I got lost a couple of times. I loved the poetry and the emotion of it. I got lost, and that's a big compliment." Chris Zwick, Vault Magazine Reporter.
“I remember sitting in a beautiful room at the McDonald Hotel and Paula James was playing an acoustic set. I felt like we were... right back there.” Jess Hibbert, Kix 106.1 FM Radio Host.
